How much does it typically cost for a wedding reception at Northlands?
A Marquee wedding reception will cost from around £25,000 but really depends on what you require.. Exclusive hire of Northlands Farm for your wedding reception is £2,950 for the land hire which includes your on-site guest parking for up to 100 cars. To provide you with total exclusivity (which is compulsory), all of the wedding accommodation will need to be booked for a minimum of two nights (Day of Wedding and the clearing up day after). How much does a Marquee cost?
A full Marquee set-up including dance floor, chairs, tables, flooring and lighting will cost from around £6000 (assuming 100 guests).
How much does a power unit cost?
A good quality power system to provide the lighting, catering power, music and to run the toilets will cost you around £800. We do not recommend trying to economise on cheaper power units as your wedding relies on it. A good place to start would be to check out South Coast Generators.
What expenses are there for running an outdoor wedding reception?
You typically need to consider the following expenses, all of which can be supplied by our team.
Venue Hire £2950 plus VAT.

Can we stay at Northlands Farm before and after the wedding?
Yes, we have three luxury double mini suites (on two levels) and our two bedroom cottage (a converted old veterinary store) just steps away from the top lake. Let us know if you would like to reserve these at the time you book your wedding. We request that you book ALL the accommodation for three days around the wedding date (including the day after and day before - this provides you with all the time you need to exclusively prepare for your wedding, the wedding day itself and then the clear up day. Speak to us if you feel you feel you would need accommodation for less than the three days but in our experience you are more than likely going to need the exclusivity the three days provides.
Do you provide a sound engineer, mixer and speaker system?
If you intend to have a band, DJ/Music or anyone using a microphone, then it will be compulsory to hire our Sound Engineer, Malcolm Garda at https://sound-impression.com/ who will be happy to quote you. Along with the Sound System he operates, Malcolm can also provide a good stage for your band and lighting for the marquee and other parts of the venue. Feel free to contact him directly.
How many people can I invite to my wedding?
Our venue is for a maximum of 150 guests.
Can we organise our own catering?
In order to provide a seamless wedding experience we only work with certain local suppliers who we have vetted and who know our property inside out. Contact us for our preferred supplier list.

Can our guests park overnight?
Yes, they can but we would politely request for cars to be collected by 11:30AM the next day.
Do you have a wedding planner?
Yes we do. Please contact if you require our Wedding Planner to contact you.
What time does the venue close?
Music can continue until 11PM and we ask for carriages by 11:30PM
Can we have our wedding ceremony at Northlands?
Whilst we are a wedding reception only venue, we do provide a beautiful area for a ceremony on the day but you will need to be married at a registry office or church prior to your wedding ceremony. All of our couples either marry at a local church on the day or have visited a registry office the day before the wedding reception.
How can we arrange the clean up after the party?
As you can imagine, a large outdoor wedding does require about a days work to clean up for a two to three person team. We can arrange this for you and invoice you for the time it takes or you can ask for friends and family to help you do this yourself. Our clean up team will put all the presents, flowers etc somewhere in the marquee where you can collect them.
How do I book Northlands for my wedding?
Simply check the website for availability for ALL FOUR accommodation for the three days around the wedding date (If the three chalets plus the cottage are free then we have availability for your wedding. You can book Northlands Farm for your dates with a 25% deposit which covers the venue hire only.
You do have the opportunity to add more people and make small changes to the catering plan up to 30 days before the wedding but all balances will be due 60 days prior to the wedding.

Dear Keith and Kerrie, Just wanted to drop a note to say thank you again for having us all at Northlands for our wedding. We had such a magical time and felt so lucky. Everyone has commented on how gorgeous the grounds were and I'm not sure we'll have the pleasure of attending a wedding with Alpacas/Donkeys/Guinea Fowl etc again.
